Daerrico A. Austin, Sr.
President
Daerrico is the Founder and President of Prisoners Against Teen Criminal Habits (P.A.T.C.H.). He was born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area and he also spent time in Portsmouth, Virginia. He has two beautiful kids and two grandsons that means the world to him.
Daerrico is a trusted role model, a leader, a well respected mentor, and a strong advocate for Gun Violence Prevention. He formed P.A.T.C.H. because he saw the youth going down the wrong path and he saw what crime was doing to the communities. He wanted to bring about change and wanted to be a part of the solution to help fix a growing problem.
Daerrico knows from experience the challenges that the kids face being raised by a single parent and not having that strong role model to lead in a positive way and not having programs to occupy their time. He has an unique ability to understand and relate to the youth. He knows kids will listen but it strongly depends on who is delivering the message.
Please let us lean in together and help P.A.T.C.H. show our youth that they have the ability to be whatever it is they want to be and that with the right attitude towards life their future is bright. So let us help them P.A.T.C.H. it up one day at a time.
