Tina L. Parsons
Secretary and Treasurer

I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. During my growing up years, I joined an organization named International Order of Job’s Daughters. The group name comes from the Book of Job in the Bible. IOJD is a Masonic affiliated leadership organization for young ladies aged 10 to 20. The mission of this group is to teach the values of leadership, public speaking, charity, respect for parents and elders, and teamwork. It also shows the girls how to be fair, kind, and good in character. Our bible verse is Chapter 42, Verse 150: “And in all the land were no women found so fair as the Daughters of Job; and their Father gave them inheritance among their brethren.

I also attend and have been a very long-time member of Antioch Baptist Church in Sandston, Virginia. My devotion and belief in Jesus keeps me strong in hope and faith. I have worked for numerous years with the youth at the church starting from pre-school to middle school. I am very proud of them for their development in building good character and growing up in Christian faith. The kids enjoy the activities and crafts we have each Sunday. I am always willing to help and support the children in any way possible.

I graduated from Varina High School in 1989, and I entered the workforce right away after high school. I began working for M & R Data Services in the summer of 1989. In the fall of 1990, I started my 34-year career with a commercial construction company holding the positions of Receptionist and P. M. Secretary and ending with Accounting. Working hard is no stranger to me. I have maintained two jobs since November 1997. The second employment I have is working for a mortgage company in the loss mitigation default area as of August 2009. In addition, I have been a notary public for Henrico County, Virginia for over 20 years.

Now that I am working with P.A.T.C.H., I have three jobs and appreciate and enjoy every opportunity that is presented to me. P.A.T.C.H. is here to make a difference and create a positive change for our youth and the community. I am so happy I can bring my young spirit to the table and be a part of this newly founded non-profit organization.
